讲座摘要:
Drawing upon new institutional theories, this talk will shed light on China’s rapidly changing food consumption and production system. Focusing on institutional changes in China’s dairy production and consumption system as well as the institutionalisation of the Chinese organic certification scheme, it will discuss current drivers of change and their implications from a Sustainability perspective.
The focus of Leonie Dendler’s work has been on studying Sustainability related institutional change within international food, energy and other consumption and production systems, drawing upon theories of institutional change, institutional entrepreneurship, institutional work, discourse institutionalism as well as concepts of legitimacy. Her current work concentrates on the institutionalisation of product labelling schemes in the People's Republic of China, including wider changes in the dairy supply chain.
She has written, reviewed and guest edited for several peer reviewed journals, including the Journal of Cleaner Production, Energy Policy and the Journal of Environmental Development, and presented her research at various international conferences, such as the ‘Berlin Conference on the Human Dimensions of Global Environmental Change’, the ‘European Roundtable on Sustainable Consumption and Production’, the ‘Global Research Forum on Sustainable Production and Consumption’ and the ‘World Resources Forum’.
She has been a visiting researcher at the Finnish Environment Institute and is currently a member of the Global Research Forum on Sustainable Production and Consumption (GRF-SPC) international executive committee and the Earthsystem Governance network.

After studying environmental science at Leuphana University Lueneburg (Germany) and Queen´s University Belfast (UK), Leonie Dendler conducted her doctoral research with the Sustainable Consumption Institute, Manchester Business School and the Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research at the University of Manchester (UK). She is currently a postdoctoral researcher with the Sustainable Consumption Institute (The University of Manchester, UK) and the Fudan Tyndall Centre for Climate Change Research (Fudan University, China).
