5月14－16日，国际社会学学会“社会分层与流动研究委员会”2009年年会暨“中国社会分层与流动国际研讨会”在北京举行，本届年会由社会分层与流动研究委员会（RC28）、中国人民大学社会与人口学院、中国社会科学院社会学研究所、北京大学社会学系、清华大学社会学系联合举办。

上大社会学系张文宏、刘玉照、翁定军、刘群、康岚、应可为、王平等7位老师和同学完成的5篇论文入选，其中，由张文宏完成的“Inequality of Social Capital and Occupational Mobility in Urban China”，刘玉照、王平、应可为完成的“Ruptures in Organization and the Social Integration of Taiwanese Colony in Mainland China”，翁定军完成的“Individual Life Experience and Personality in the Context of Social Inequality”三篇论文入选大会主题发言，刘群的“Convergence and Differentiation—Boat People’s Status Attainment and Social Capital in Xin Cai County”，康岚的“An Approach to the Farmers" Rights and Interests from the Process of the Land-Requisitioned Perspective”入选大会的Post。
